Me and my machine

New, but not Novice

Hello, my Name is Kelley Gerlach and I am the owner of Honeycoal Quilting. In January of 2021, I decided to start my business in my home, as a way to take my hobby and passion to the next level. I have been quilting for the past five years and fell in love with the idea of longarm quilting for myself and others.

My machine is a Gammill 30″ Optimum Statler Stitcher on a 12 foot table. This machine allows me to do most every quilt someone would bring to me. I specialize in edge to edge (E2E) design and have thousands of patterns to choose from…just ask!

River and Tara, my retired racing greyhounds

What is “Honeycoal”?

Many of you are probably wondering, how I came up with my business name. Honeycoal is actually from combining both of my retired racing greyhounds’ race names.

Tara, was known as AMF Honeycomb, and River, was known as Go Bon Coaltrain. Tara passed away in June of 2020 and I felt this was a way to honor her and River.
